Where could I read Old Marvel Comics Online?

I know that you can watch TV online, and that you can see movies that are currently playing in the theaters online, but can you also read Marvel comics online for free?

You have to know the name of the comic you want and download the file using something like Adobe Reader. I did this for The Killing Joke but it is a bunch a guess work because I am not good with computers. I dont know how old of comics you can get though.

What was that movie where these teenagers picture themselves as comics?

there was this movie i saw as a kid where a bunch teens pictured themselves as like comic book superheroes or somethin. the storyline would be filmed in real life but then the scenes would cutaway into like animated comics when like there were big action scenes. i remember some like killing or violence too. does anyone know what im talkin bout?

That sounds like "The Dangerous Lives of Altar Boys"

how to Self publishing a comicbook?

Looking for stories or comments on the topic of selfpublishing and dealing with printers and Diamond.

Self-publishing can be broken down into two categories, either you have the aim of making money and entering the ‘mainstream’ market, or you want to publish for your own sake without regards to making money through the ’small press’. I have included information in both of these areas.

First and foremost, this book is not for artists who are only considering self-publishing their work – it’s for people who are willing to put in the time and effort it takes to successfully self-publish or launch their own self-publishing company. Even Jeff Smith (yes, he’s a self-publisher) has used this book and commented that it is "full of very real commercial information." This book goes into all the information a self-publisher needs to ease through the necessary legal processes involved in self-publishing and starting a publishing company, and teaches us what the author himself took many years to figure out.

The book contains the following chapters:

Is there any comic shop that sells anime items in sacramento?

Could you give me a place that would sell shugo chara items or any other anime items/books that i can walk in and buy. no online buying for me (>*3*)>#

I have looked up this answer more than once before, and you would think by now I know the answer. I think it is A-1 Comics.

I found the previous question I answered, maybe they will have another Anime show this next Jan. Check with the Scottish Temple for their schedule.

Here is my answer from the old question:

Anime sold in the Sacramento area :

A-1 comics – (916) 331-9203 – 5361 Auburn Blvd, Sacramento, CA
There is an A-1 comic store in Roseville also, on Sunrise Blvd.
I drive past it all the time.

There are two shows coming up –

- Sacramento Comic, Toy and Anime Show
One-day comic, toy, and Anime show. Sacramento, California. … Friday, Saturday, Sunday. January 9-11 , 2009. SCOTTISH RITE CENTER. 6151 H Street (Near CSUS)

- Sacramento Comic, Toy and Anime Show
March 8, 2009 at Sacramento’s Scottish Rite Center.

Where can I find a good site that I can work out the monetary value of my meagre Comic collection?

Basically I’ve got a few comics I’ve read many times over now and I’m wondering if any are worth something? I’m not holding out much hope but I do have a couple from the 70’s.

Here are a couple of links.

What type of lead should i get for a mechanical pencil? Pertaining comic book art.?

I’m trying to create a comic book portfolio and thinking of switching to mechanical pencils. Or to see if it would help improve my art.

I usually use every pencil in my Dewert Sketch and Technical pencil set. But since I want to start practicing with mechanical pencils, what type of lead should I use? Or better put, narrow down. I’m interested in doing full pencils.

I recommend non-photo or blue mechanical pencil lead.

http://www.jetpens.com/product_info.php/cPath/45_125/products_id/515

The nice thing about using this for mechanical pencils is that it’s non reflective like typical graphite pencil lead. This means that scanning bed wont pick up as much light noise from the reflection of light in the scanner.

The other nice thing about it is that is doesn’t smudge like regular pencil lead. A lot of comic artists use this type of blue (and also red) mechanical lead. I’ve used it for years and I’d never go back.

does anyone know were i can sell my old battle action force and eagle comics?

ive recently come across my old collection of battle action force and eagle comics from 1983 onwards theres quiet a few in the collection i no id probably be able to sell them one by one on e bay but i was hoping to get rid all at once as a job lot, anyone have any suggestions?

Rather than sell them individually on e bay, bundle them in 10’s or 20’s and sell them that way – if you go to dealers they will give lower price as they have to then sell on, but via e bay you are going direct to collectors and will get best prices. Do some research on what individual issues are worth something then put a reserve on bundles with high value ones on it.
Alternatively, check on e bay for members who are bidding on the same comics and contact them to offer bigger job lots

Where can I get Marvel Comics for free?

I want to download marvel comics for free, hopefully in a PDF format. I want to start reading the Dark Reign series.

Is that the format of comic books is going to change to strictly online comics?

I heard that soon they’re foing to stop producing comics on paper and soon it will only be digital is this true?

I mean I already read some books online but I still prefer having the actual books.

Unlikely. Webcomics are common already, but paper is nice, and just like books, cant really be replaced yet.
