What is your most prized comic/comic collection?
Mine is Ultimate Iron Man #1 Variant. And my most prized collection is the Ultimate Iron Man Vol. 1 collection. I got them all (and the variant) on eBay. I’m planning to get Vol. 2 and the Variant on eBay, too.

What is the best outlet for selling a comic book collection? How much is my collection worth?
I collected X-Men comics when i was a kid and have a large(?) collection of them and related titles. I want to sell them and was wondering what the best outlet would be to do so (ebay, craigslist, comic book shop, comic specialty site, etc). Is it better to sell as a lot or is it worth the hassle of selling individual comics or small groups of comics (such as the Age of Apocalypse set)? I also thought i would post the catalog of my collection on here, and see if anyone knows roughly how much it is worth. Thanks — Trey

I have no idea of the value of your collection, but your best bet would be to sell them on E-bay.
I would suggest that you put them in groups of about 6-8 in some logical combination. Then put them up for bid on E-bay one group at a time.
You will probably want to set an opening or minimum bid for each group. One way to check pricing is to see what similar comics are selling for on E-bay or visit your local comic shop to get an idea on the price they are selling for.
What is the best way to sell off a large comic book collection quickly?
I’ve got two boxes in the garage, and I’d like to sell these off. Any suggestions of a quick way to do this, and maybe make a buck or two? It’s nothing earth-shattering: just a bunch of X-men and Justice League-style books from the 80’s – 90’s.
Thanks

,
I would like to start a comic book collection. What is, in your opinion, the best comic book series out there?
Please tell me why. And do I need to start from the beginning or can I buy the current issue?
The best opinion I could give you is to start with something that you like. There’s no point in buying a comic-book that you don’t enjoy. Once you know what type of comics you enjoy, I recommend getting a limited series about that comic. A limited series (or miniseries) is a comic that only has a certain number of issues so it’s easy to start and finish.
Say you like X-Men. Instead of retracing all the way back to the earliest issues, why not just buy the miniseries X-Men: First Class? Or if you like Superman, you could buy All-Star Superman. For ease of getting into and understanding, I’d recommend the following:
- X-Men First Class Vol. 1 (Fun, comedic, and enjoyable)
- All-Star Superman Vol. 1 and Vol. 2 (The best Superman tale in years)
- Watchmen (You ain’t a comic-book fan if you haven’t read this one)
- The Ultimates Vol. 1 (Modern, sleek, and pretty freaking cool as well)
- Kingdom Come (Beautiful artwork here)
Hope this helps

Where to sell kids comic collection?
I have some old comics/ kids magazines from the 1980’s. My mum kept them quite a lot and in sequence. Include Postman Pat, Buttons and My little ponies. Probably worth very little but trying to find where to try and sell them and for how much?
With that collection you could try selling them on your homepage, assuming that you have one. But e-bay would be your best bet. Tons of people are looking for things you may not think of as being rare or worth alot. Good luck.
