Your local comic shop?
Do you like them? Are they helpful or annoying?
The only one that is local to me is pretty bad. The owner gets in your face and tries to sell you on every comic known to man kind. And the helper is really nice but he never knows when the new comics are coming out and won’t be put out by trying to find or order things for you. Just today I was telling him how 2 new ones are coming out on Wednesday that I would be back to get, and he is like? I know one of them is but the other isn’t. Well, sorry dude it says it right online that it is being released in 2 days. And I know he has been wrong about this in the past….
It sucks for me around here.
How about your shop?
who gave the thumbs down? no need for it. that g answer guy is a weirdo.
It’s terrible. A little hole-in-the-wall kind of place. The owner just sits there and stares at you, and barely talks. I don’t think there’s anyone else working there at all.
The one that’s an hour away from here is great. the owner and the people that work there are all really funny and helpful and nice. The stuff in the store is awesome too, I usually spend $50 when I’m there. It’s also a bright little place on a main road. I go there whenever I can ^_^
i saw this girl working in a comic shop, and i just wanna know if i interpreted those signs right or not?
i was in a comic shop and there was this girl (i’m not sure but i think she’s my age…16 or 17), well, she first came up to me and asked me if i was looking for something specific and i asked her about something and so on. then I said thank you and she smiled, and then when I went to the cash desk, when I was leaving I said good bye and looked at her, and she smiled back. And on my way out I looked back and she was looking at me.
I kinda started to like her, so I went to the comic shop the next day again, and saw her, but…she just walked passed me and didn’t say a word.
So I just wanted to know, what was that all about the other day, because I just can’t figure it out myself.
She was being friendly. If u really wanna know if she likes u ask her if she wants to go to the movies with u and a couple other friends. Bring friends! If she’s interested in u she’ll say yes.

News-stand or comic shop?
Just curious, been wanting to read issue #5 of a comic mini series based on the Krypto the superdog cartoon series.
Anyway, think the news-stands may have it or should I check a comic shop?
The issue came out in January of 2007 one comic shop near me does sell back issues.
Because it is a back issue, your best bet would be a comics shop or comic book collectors/resellers. It is highly unlikely that you will find it at a news stand as they rarely maintain a library of past issue publications.

Hey I’m going to Forbidden Planet later(a comic shop) anyone know any good comics I should buy?(4 my son)
^mcleod is making a joke and recommending you comics with tremendous amounts of violence in them "JTHM" stands for "Johnny the Homocidal Maniac"
Your question is kind of vague though, since you don’t tell us how old your son is or what sort of things he likes. There’s a lot of differences between what you’d buy for your son if he’s 5 or if he’s 13. Is he able to read by himself yet, for instance?
Frankly, the store clerk will probably be able to help you the most, since you’ll be able to give him more details about your sons age, reading ability, and interests.
As general recommendations, I would say that if he’s under 10 years old, ask about books called Marvel Age. Marvel Age Spider-Man, Marvel Age Avengers, and Marvel Age Fantastic Four are all tremendously fun and simple stories for younger readers.
If he’s more like 12 and up, he’ll probably want something a little more mature. Ultimate Spider-Man vol 1 is a very popular book and a good read. It’s designed for new readers, so he doesn’t need to worry about the 40 years of Spider-Man stories that have come before. If he likes Superman, get All Star Superman, and if he likes Batman, get him Hush (Hush either comes in two affordable volumes, or one more expensive volume)
