Jim Jeffries / Spaz Approved – Live at The Comedy Store

Jim Jeffries

“HE HAD THE CROWD IN THE PALM OF HIS HAND… IT’S A TIGHT HOUR OF BRILLIANT ANECDOTES AND BREATHTAKING CRUDITY, DELIVERED WITH SUCH LIKEABLE BLOKISHNESS, YOU WOULD HAVE TO BE VERY DETERMINED NOT TO HAVE A GOOD TIME” – CHORTLE 13/08/06

Australian born Jim Jeffries is a headline performer in countries such as Canada, Asia, South Africa, Europe and the UK.

“THE AUSTRALIAN DOESN’T CARE WHO HE OFFENDS, BADGERING THOSE WHO RESIST UNTIL THEY CAPITULATE AND JOIN IN THE LAUGHTER, HARD HITTING AND EXPERTLY DELIVERED” THE HERALD 24/08/06

Regarded as one of the fastest rising stars in the comedy world, his brash confrontational style has made him one of the most sought after comics on the world stage.

“JEFFRIES DOESN’T CARE ABOUT OFFENDING THE THIN-SKINNED WITH HIS BRUTALLY HONEST OBSERVATIONS… HE HAD US ON THE EDGE OF OUR SEATS”
- THE LIST 10/08/06

Jim gets away with jokes that most comedians wouldn’t touch due to his ability to both charm and offend the crowd through equal measures.

“VERY FUNNY… HE HAS A GIFT FOR BEING EXTREMELY OFFENSIVE AND GETTING AWAY WITH IT. IN FACT, IF YOU ARE EASILY OFFENDED THIS MIGHT BE ONE TO AVOID, IF YOU DON’T TAKE YOURSELF TO SERIOUSLY, GO ALONG AND MARVEL AT HOW JEFFRIES GETS AWAY WITH IT.” – SKINNYFEST 22/08/06

In 2005 Jim wowed audiences at The Montreal ‘Just for Laugh’s’ Festival where he was performing in the highly acclaimed ‘Nasty Show’. Jim garnered one of the biggest press articles at the festival and was also moved above 2 of America’s cult as neither could follow Jim’s storming performances.

“LIKE ALL THE GREATS, HE IS ABLE TO TURN FILTH INTO AN ARTFORM” MONTREAL GAZETTE 17/07/05

In 2006 Jim made his return to the Edinburgh Festival with his solo show titled ‘The Second Coming’ which not only received seven 4 star reviews and numerous other press articles about his show. It sold out the whole run and he also managed to wind up Christian Voice as well. Hoorah!

“SICK AND REPELLENT” STEVEN GREEN CHRISTIAN VOICE 16/08/06

“HARD HITTING, UNRELENTING GAGS… CHRISTIAN VOICE CERTAINLY KNOW A FIND COMEDIAN WHEN THEY PERSECUTE HIM.” – THE SCOTSMAN 17/08/06

“A masterful exponent of self-mocking Jewish humour”
The Times
“Seriously funny” The Guardian

Ranked amongst the top ten stand-ups in Britain by The

self-depreciating style, Ian is at great ease
bantering with an audience. He’s also a member of the
Comedy Store’s critically acclaimed ‘Cutting Edge’
team.
He has performed all over the world including Comedy
Festivals in Australia, New Zealand, Hong Kong, South

show in South Africa’s Camps Bay Theatre in 2004. More
recently he became the first British stand-up to
perform in Moscow.
1996 saw him venture northwards to The Edinburgh
Festival with his first solo show. Since then, he’s
performed three more solo shows, the last one in 2006
with a brand new show, Embrace The Chaos which ran at
The Underbelly and was very well received including a
five star review in the Herald

“…like a cross between Tony Hancock and Frankie
Howerd. Stone is probably better than we deserve.
“Ultimately, it is the sheer quantity of funny
material that really impresses”. The List
“A rare treat” The Herald

Ian’s many television appearances include The Last
Word (MORE4), The Late Edition (BBC4),The World Stands
Up (Paramount Comedy 2005) The Comedy Store (Ch5 – 3
appearances, most recent in 2005), Never Mind The
Buzzcocks (BBC 2), Mock The Week (BBC2), The Stand-Up
Show (BBC 1), Saturday Live (ITV), Live at Jongleurs
(ITV) & The 11 O’clock Show (CH4).
On radio Ian hosted his own chat show “The Big
Schmooze”, on BBC London, where he interviewed the
likes of Jeremy Issacs, Terry Hall, Anthony Sher and
Esther Rantzen. Following his stint in America, he was
invited to have a live discussion with Jackie Mason on
BBC Radio 4’s Front Row on the subject of Jewish
comedians. He has appeared on The Paul Ross Show
(LBC), The Worricker Programme (Radio 5 Live) and
Fighting Talk (Radio 5 Live). He has also appeared
twice on ‘Four at the Store’ (BBC Radio 4) and being

Alistair Mcgowans Big Impression (BBC 1) and is also a
regular contributor to the Guardian, The Observer and
The Independent On Sunday. He is currently busy
developing several original ideas for television, and
has a sitcom in development with the BBC. He’s also an
