Comic Book Reviews: Justice Society of America 12, Fables 69
We picked up issue #2 of The Twelve, a great series that we highly recommend. The Twelve follows Golden Age heroes that wake up in the present day after being frozen for 60 years.
We really enjoyed the hero-packed issue #12 of JSA. Lots of heroes, lots of stories and they’re recruiting even more in this issue.
Fables issue #69 is more of a great series that we really like. The artwork is top-notch and the story is huge.
Then in our speed round we cover Adolescent Radioactive Black Belt Hamsters #1, The Trials of Shazam #11, Jack of Fables #19, Proof #4, and Action comics #861.
Today in our mailbag, we talk about how comic books tackle social issues like underage drinking and gambling. Thanks to the great question from JLTiberi on the Pulp Secret forums.

WARNING: There are impostor videos out there trying to steal your time cards. Do not by fooled by the @live.com accounts. This redirects to a real blizzard authentication server.
This trick is amazing. You’ll never have to pay for wow again. I almost quit if it weren’t for finding this, but it saved me 
I have sold over 40 game cards to friends and people online and became rich from this. It’s truly a miracle. 
So now you get to benefit from it.

The Elmhurst Historical Museum in Elmhurst Illinois exhibit for comic book and pop culture fans called “The Drawn-Out History of Comic Books Exhibit” June 19, 2009 – September 6, 2009

The exhibit partially featured a display with a time-elapsed depiction showing how comic book artists Jill Thompson (Magic Trixie), Bill Reinhold (Batman), and Doug Klauba (Phantom) draw or paint their art for a comic book page or cover.
Each artist was filmed for 60-90 minutes.
The curator of the exhibit Lance Tawzer filmed Jill and Bill’s segments.
All three artists are American Academy of Art in Chicago graduates.
